When I was a teenager my boyfriend at the time took me to his favorite Italian restaurant. It was located right on S. Fifth Street (You would pass it if you didn't know it was there). It was a cute intimate restaurant with limited seating and it looked like an old Italian grandma had decorated the place. You immediately felt like you were at a home and greeted with open smiles and kind staff. That is what I remembered from long ago and what I still received when I visited this past week.
Caitlin greeted me immediately and we chatted about COVID, the decision for them to switch to just catering and no longer a restaurant and how intimate weddings may be the new rise in our industry. Then she started with food! Oh my goodness I wish I brought my whole family of five with me. I tasted their house salad made with their in house made dressing, no you can't get it bottled I already asked, but you can get it by the container and take it home with you. Along with a caeser salad that had it's own homemade dressing as well. Then she brought out baked mostaccioli, pasta con broccoli, and chicken daniel. The servings were so big and so good I had to hold myself back from just shoveling it all into my mouth while she described how each one is prepared. I was already ready to pop when she went to the back again and brought out this HUGE steak (beef arcobasso). I don't know where I found the room but I just had to try a bite (or four) and let me tell you it was cooked beautifully and tasted even better than any picture I could take would give justice too, She was kind enough to pack up anything that I couldn't eat to take home, as they do for all their complimentary tastings.
We were able to chat a little more about menu options and questions some of my couples have for their catering company. Gluten free? Their noodles, red and white sauces and even their dressings have the option of being gluten free. One of the chefs actual has a gluten free diet so she takes extra pride in providing and make sure all meals come the way they are needed. Vegan? They can do that too. Only one or two people need a special diet? Just let them know and they will individually package and set up that persons meal for them. Don't necessary want Italian? Maybe your mother in law has an amazing Mexican dish that you would like instead. They will and have done that for you. If you have the recipes and she can get the ingredients they will make it. *They even had a tasting of the dish and the mother in law had some tweaks for them which they provided and got the thumbs up approval, how awesome!*
If you are on the hunt for a catering company I can't recommend them enough.
